The sight that greets cyclists leaving Guildford westwards on NCN 22. The Mount is a 1.5km climb at an average of 7.5%.
The shared use path alongside the A3. All the fun of a narrow footpath alongside heavy fast moving traffic.
A bridge hostile to anyone with wheels, so that's push-chairs, wheelchairs, bikes, mobility scooters etc. Presumably designed like this to stop those pesky cyclist? (But that would be imputing motive, which we must not do.)
There's no dropped kerb from this path onto the road - which probably indicates that its not considered to be a cycleway. But then again why is one of these cars parked across the pavement?
